Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky said on Tuesday the company plans to offer free temporary housing to 20,000 Afghan refugees. The UN Refugee Agency said last month that an estimated 270,000 Afghans had been newly displaced inside the country since January.

Charlie Watts, the longtime drummer of the Rolling Stones, died Aug. 24 at a London hospital. His publicist, Bernard Doherty, announced the death but did not provide a cause. Watts had suffered from health problems in recent years, including a diagnosis of throat cancer in 2004. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
