He was convicted of holding a knee on George Floyd's neck for nine-and-a-half minutes. The US Supreme Court threw out Chauvin's appeal last week.
Oscar Pistorius
personOscar Pistorius, 37, was granted his freedom by a South African parole board. The disgraced former Olympian murdered Reeva Steenkamp in 2013. He was sentenced to 13 years and five months imprisonment in 2017. His first hearing in March saw him denied freedom due to an error.
